Two people were taken to the hospital Sunday, November 18th, after an incident in Taylor County that started out as a domestic assault and ended with a person holed-up inside of a residence. According to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 3:30 in the afternoon to a location on Friendship Pike in Taylor County to a report of a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival it was learned that Kenneth Losch had broken into a residence where his estranged wife had been staying. According to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, Kimberly Losch stated that Kenneth Losch had struck her in the head several times with a pistol and had fled the scene. Kimberly Losch was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries. Kenneth Losch was later located at his residence at 2195 Greensburg Road in Campbellsville. According to the the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office several shots came from inside the residence upon arrival of officers at the scene. Losch remained holed-up inside for several hours despite several attempts by authorities to end the stand-off. The Kentucky State Police Special Response Team then made entry finding Losch with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was flown to a hospital in Louisville for treatment of injuries.
