A Green County man has been sentenced in connection with murder-for-hire scheme. Fifty one year old Kevin Scott Gentry of Greensburg was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Bowling Green Wednesday, October 10th, to 10 years in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release. It’s being alleged that Gentry tried to hire someone to kill another person. He was indicted by a Barren County Grand Jury in March of 2016 on one count of criminal solicitation to murder. Gentry pled guilty to that charge in April of this year. The indictment came after Gentry met with undercover law enforcement detectives during which he allegedly provided information about the intended victim and 2,500 dollars cash with the promise of another 2,500 after the job was done.
