A traffic stop late Sunday night, July 29th, in Campbellsville led to a Taylor County man being arrested on several charges. According to Kentucky State Police, 28 year old Stephen Pilkington of Campbellsville was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, promoting contraband and tampering with physical evidence. The arrest was made after a traffic stop on Logan Street in the limits of Campbellsville resulted in a stolen laptop computer being found inside the vehicle. State Police say Pilkington was placed under arrest and taken to the Taylor County Jail. They go on to say that once inside the jail Pilkington attempted to get rid of a small bag of suspected methamphetamine by throwing it on the floor during booking. Campbellsville Police also assisted with this arrest.
