Taylor Fiscal Court met in a special called session Thursday, July 19th. Court members voted to accept 59,000 dollars in state grant funding as part of the rubber modified asphalt paving program in the state. This money will be used to help pay for a paving project on Pikes Ridge in Taylor County. And, Taylor County Judge Executive Eddie Rogers said two more days would be made available for residents of Taylor County to dispose of tree-limb storm debris resulting from recent severe weather in the county. Friday July 27th from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. and Saturday July 28th from 8 A.M. to 1 P.M. Taylor County residents can take their tree limb storm debris to the old Fruit of the Loom parking lot that is entered through the gate adjacent to Highway 55 south in Campbellsville.
