A Russell County man has been given a jail term in connection with a pharmacy robbery back in 2017. According to Russell County Circuit Court records, 42 year old Travis D. Peterson of Russell Springs was sentenced during court proceedings the week of June 25th, 2018 to 5 years in jail. He is being credited with time already served. Peterson pled guilty to robbing the Rite-Aid pharmacy in Russell Springs in May of 2017. It’s alleged that Peterson entered the pharmacy, demanded controlled substances from the pharmacist then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of controlled substances. He was arrested the next day. According to Russell County Circuit Court records Peterson has also been ordered to pay restitution and forfeit all cash and property seized.
