Green County Fiscal Court met in regular session Thursday, June 21st. Among actions taken by the court was the approval of the county’s operating budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year beginning July 1st, officially setting the salaries of Green-Taylor Water District board members appointed by Green County Fiscal Court at 300 dollars a month, approving bids for road materials for the 2018-2019 fiscal year, voting in favor of a 250 dollar contribution to the Green County Cattleman’s Association fireworks show and awarding contracts for the replacement of bridges on Roy Chaudoin Road and Bluff Boom Road. Some board and committee appointments were made. Linda Blankenship was appointed to a term on the Council on Aging Board, Peggy Calhoun was appointed to a term on the Tourism Marketing Regional Committee, Mike Mills was appointed to a term on the Green County Ambulance Board, Matt Squires, Marla Durrett and Danny Bush were appointed to terms on the Green County Park Board and Richard Milby & Jerry Hall were appointed to terms on the Green-Taylor Water District Board of Directors. Also, Green Fiscal Court voted in favor of moving ahead with the purchase of some playground equipment for American Legion Park in Greensburg pending an agreement being reached on a purchase price.
