A Russell County man was arrested on drug trafficking and other charges after a traffic stop Thursday, June 14th, in Russell County. According to Kentucky State Police 31 year old Joseph Hammond of Russell Springs was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphenalia and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. The arrest was made after a State Police officer made a routine traffic stop on a 2000 model Pontiac operated by Hammond on Highway 619 in Russell County. State Police say a search of the vehicle turned up a small amount of methamphetamine, several syringes and two firearms.
Two people were arrested on drug trafficking charges after State Police executed two search warrants simultaneously in Russell County Thursday, June 14th. State Police say 30 year old Elizabeth Robertson of Russell Springs was arrested at a residence on Jenny Lane in Russell County and that 33 year old Damien Wilson of Russell Springs was located in a residence on North Highway 127 in Russell County. Both were found to be in possession of methamphetamine, digital scales and small baggies, charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and lodged in the Russell County jail.
All three were lodged in the Russell County Jail.
