A Washington County man was taken to a Louisville hospital after a shooting incident Sunday, June 10th, in Washington County. According to Kentucky State Police an argument between 24 year old Michael Yocum of Springfield and his stepfather, 47 year old Michael Churchill of Springfield, resulted in Churchill being shot in the back. Churchill was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Yocum was charged with assault in the first degree and lodged in the Marion County Jail. This incident took place around 10:40 P.M. at a residence on McMurtry Lane in Washington County.
