Green County Fiscal Court and the Green County Judge Executive will be sponsoring a White Goods Amnesty Program Thursday, April 26th, Friday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th. Items should be dropped off at the former Kentucky Burley Tobacco Warehouse site on Columbia Highway in Greensburg. The drop-off times are 7 A.M. to 3 P.M. Central time on Thursday and Friday and 7 A.M. to 12 noon Central time on Saturday. Items that will be accepted are appliances, furniture, batteries and various types of scrap metal. Items that will not be accepted are paint, oil, tires, propane tanks, garbage, asphalt shingles, tree limbs, yard waste, lumber or any hazardous material. Persons are asked to not bring items in an enclosed trailer due to slowing down the unloading process.
