Green County Fiscal Court met in regular session Thursday morning, April 19th. Among action taken was approval of the county budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. The total overall budget is right at 4.5 million dollars which includes a general fund budget of 1,680,499 dollars, a road fund budget of 1,899,779 dollars, a jail fund budget of 348,300 dollars, an E-911 contribution of 132,410 dollars and an allocation for American Legion Park operations of 77,100 dollars. Green County Fiscal Court also approved moving ahead with the process of applying for a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of about a million dollars which will pass through the county’s bank account on to the Green County Industrial Foundation to complete the spec building in Greensburg which is tentatively set to be the future home of Hardin Scientific. Green Fiscal Court also approved the appointment of Doug Morgan to the Tax Appeals Assessment Board and approved the Green County Cooperative Extension operating budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year which comes in at about 235,000 dollars.
