A Taylor County man was arrested Sunday, March 4th, in connection with an altercation with another Taylor County man. According to Kentucky State Police 55 year old Jeffrey Jones of Campbellsville was arrested and charged with assault 1st degree, tampering with physical evidence, criminal mischief 3rd degree and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Taylor County jail. The arrest was made after State Police responded to a residence on Maple Road in Taylor County to a call of a male being assaulted with a hammer. The victim was identified as 48 year old James D. Burdine of Campbellsville who was taken to University of Louisville hospital and listed in stable condition. State police say the investigation is ongoing.
