The Greensburg City Council met Monday, June 25th, and passed the second and final reading of the city budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. The total operating budget for the City of Greensburg for the upcoming fiscal year is approximately 3.5 million dollars. About 1,358,000 of that amount is allocated for the water and sewer department. The largest general fund revenue producer for the City of Greensburg is the occupational & net profits tax which will generate about 455,000 dollars. The insurance premium tax will bring in around 242,000 dollars. Property & vehicle taxes will produce about 225,000 dollars. Franchise fees will generate about 135,000 dollars. The city of Greensburg currently has 22 full-time employees. Each full-time employee of the City of Greensburg will receive a pay raise of about 2 percent. Meanwhile, there will be a 2.8 percent increase in water and sewer rates for residents in Greensburg beginning July 1st.
