Two people were arrested on drug, stolen property and other charges after a search of a residence in Hart County Monday, April 16th. According to the Hart County Sheriff’s Office 28 year old Thomas V. Poynter of Hardyville was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, cultivating marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, burglary 3rd degree, possession of drug paraphenalia and being a persistent felony offender. The Hart County Sheriff’s Office is also reporting that 35 year old Jason Ray Luke of Cave City was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. The arrests were made after the recovery of a 16 foot utility trailer that had been stolen from a location in Green County led to a search warrant being executed at a residence on Liberty Schoolhouse Road in Hardyville. The Hart County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that the search turned up an indoor marijuana growing operation, 114 marijuana plants, grow lights, several firearms and property that had been stolen from another location in Hart County. Luke and Poynter were both lodged in the Hart County Jail in Munfordville.
