Green County Fiscal Court met in regular session Thursday morning, February 15th. One of the items on the agenda was the setting of salaries for some elected officials and their staffs. Salaries were set for Magistrates, Coroner and deputy Coroner, Jailer and the County Attorney and his two person staff. Those salaries were set at the same level as they are for the current fiscal year. Green Fiscal Court also gave Judge Executive John Frank the go-ahead to apply for a grant to purchase a new recycling trailer at a probable cost of about 9,200 dollars to be placed in the Exie community of Green County. Magistrates also approved dates for the Green County White Goods Amnesty program. The program will run Thursday and Friday April 26th and 27th from 7 A.M. to 4 P.M. and Saturday April 28th from 7 A.M. to 12 noon. Green Fiscal Court also approved accepting 20,203 dollars in excess fees from the Green County Sheriff’s office. The next regular meeting of Green County Fiscal Court will be Thursday, March 15th at 5 P.M. Central time at the Green County courthouse.
